Edgar Sierra

Edgar Sierra, tenor, teaches Applied Voice, English, French, German, and Italian diction.

A native of Waco, Mr. Sierra has previously served as an adjunct instructor at McLennan Community College, as well as maintaining a private studio in the central Texas area. In addition to teaching, Mr. Sierra has been a soloist with the Central Texas Choral Society, Waco Symphony,  and The Lubbock Chorale. He has also had the opportunity to perform several operatic roles during his studies. Some of which include Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore, Le Chevalier in Dialogues des Carmelites, and Tonio in The Daughter of the Regiment. Mr. Sierra also has had the opportunity to sing the role of Kevin in the South African tour of Wading Home by Mary Alice Rich. Mr. Sierra is actively involved in the community serving as adjudicator for vocal competitions and having vocal masterclasses with local area high schools.

Mr. Sierra is an alum of MCC and holds a Bachelor of Music in Applied Voice and a Master of Music in Applied Voice from Baylor University. He is a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Texas Music Educator Association (TMEA), Music Teacher National Association (MTNA), Texas Music Teacher Association (TMTA) and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
